Aroma Sensor Logic Digital Rice Cooker

The name of the product is actually called Professional Series 10-Cup Sensor Logic Rice Cooker from Aroma. It sounds all high-tech, doesn’t it? Aroma is the best brand of rice cookers in my opinion. I’ve been kicking myself for throwing my old Aroma rice cooker and bought a $25 GE brand as a replacement. See, I’ve had the former for 6 years and the water reservoir had been chipped plus the hook for the ladle broke. 6 years is a long time so I thought why not get a new one. I saw the sale for the GE brand so I bought that right away. There are things in life where spending more money on certain things is better in the end. Buying Rice Cooker is one of them.

The GE rice cooker doesn’t keep your cooked rice fresh at all. It actually spoils it after a few hours in the warm settings. Unlike with Aroma rice cooker which keeps it fresh and warm pretty much for a whole day and the following day. With the GE brand, I’ve had to put the rice in a container and store in the fridge before it spoils 2-3 hours after cooking. I’ve had to throw cooked rice because I sometimes forget to do it. I’ve never had to do that with my old Aroma rice cooker, ever. Rice cooker is part of my favorite 10 kitchen gadgets but not necessarily the GE brand.

This is why I’m planning on throwing away the GE rice cooker and investing on another Aroma rice cooker. Preferably this Aroma Professional Series 10-Cup Sensor Logic Rice Cooker.

This new exciting rice cooker from Aroma’s collection doesn’t just have the cook and warm settings. This one has multiple functions like programmable control panel, 15-hour delay timer, brown rice, quick rice and smart steam. The sensor logic adjusts the settings to cook and produce restaurant quality results. If I didn’t know any better I would think it’s a microwave with all it’s new digital capabilities. Of course rice isn’t the only one you could make using a rice cooker. Soups, stews, steamed vegetables, meat and seafood fillets. This one cooks up to 20 cups of rice by the way.

The next time I buy a new rice cooker which will be soon, this Aroma Professional Series 10-Cup Sensor Logic Rice Cooker is definitely my pick. It’s $69.99 at Aroma’s online store.

This rice cooker is perfect for a small apartment. It gets the job done, but there is a layer of stuck rice on the bottom of every pot that I haven’t experienced with my Asian branded rice cookers. I can’t figure out why.. perhaps the capacity is just too small?

I’ve never had any problem preparing rice in a pot on the stove, but once I got my Aroma Rice Cooker, that’s the only way I make it. You don’t need to watch the rice, just put everything in and it will take care of the rest. I even like to make big quantities at once and then freeze the rest so I can reheat it for a quicker meal. It’s so worth it.
