Prinz Myshkin: my new favorite vegetarian restaurant

I’ve only eaten there twice, but it’s easy for me to say that Prinz Myshkin is going to quickly become my favorite restaurant once I move to Munich in January. This hip place in the city center has an extensive all-vegetarian menu that ranges from vegetable sushi to pasta to Asian dishes to German classics.

This was my lunch one day two weeks ago: soy medallions in an oyster mushroom tomato cream sauce (that’s oyster mushrooms, not oysters and mushrooms) with arugula spaetzle. It was awesome. I can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I were in Munich in September 2007 and had the pleasure of going to Prinz Myshkin. We were traveling with meat-eater friends who refused to go with us “what would WE eat??” If you have to ask, don’t bother.

The food was AMAZING. We had Tomato curry soup, Tofu Stroganoff, and a potato zuchinni gratin. It was the cuilinary high-point of the trip. My only complaint is that I live in California and can’t go there ALL the time. My favorite restaurant EVER! Yum!

    It really looks amazing!

I browsed the restaurant’s site, it looks good enough for me lol!

I also want to try Kaede http://www.kaede-muenchen.de/ restaurant, a Japan inspired bio-vegan place… But it’s pretty far away from where I’m staying…

That looks good even though I don’t like oysters or mushrooms.

Looks delicious! One more good reason for me to make it back to Munich some day.

I had a quick look at the restaurant’s website and menu, it looks good!! Not many vegan options though.

    Enjoy it!
