Looking for a quick way to know whether or not you’re in shape? I was recently reading some guidelines from the American Council on Exercise, and it sounds like this is a good quick test to see if you’re in shape!
1. Running: You’ve got to be able to run a 12-14 minute mile. (Check)
2. Muscle Stamina: Get into modified push-up form and see if you can do 2 sets of modified push-ups and 20 leg lunges. The catch is that all you get is a breather in between, so you can’t stretch it out over a half hour or anything.
3. Core Strength: Be a board! Lie down, press up to rest on your forearms, and then get onto your toes to be parallel to the floor. You need to be able to hold the pose, stiff, for 30 seconds. No sagging!
4. Flexibility: Can you touch your toes?
