I noticed that this blog is focusing a lot on back pain, arthritis and migraines, and that’s not my intention. I really want Help My Hurt to encompass all types of pain and how to live with it or manage it.
That being said, there are so many disorders and diseases that cause chronic pain, that I’d like to continue my posts on what some of them are.
Epidermolysis bullosa is a skin disease that causes the very fragile skin of the child to blister and break with the slightest of contact.
Central pain syndrome is a neurological condition caused by damage to or dysfunction of the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain, brainstem, and spinal cord.
Behcet’s disease is chronic condition that causes canker sores or ulcers in the mouth and on the genitals, and inflammation in parts of the eye.
Osteonecrosis is a disease resulting from the temporary or permanent loss of blood supply to the bones.
Glossopharyngeal neuralgia (GN) is a rare pain syndrome. It affects the glossopharyngeal nerve and causes sharp, stabbing pulses of pain in the back of the throat and tongue, the tonsils, and the middle ear.
