“My Cancer Mommy” by Taylor Rice speaks to kids from a child’s voice. Taylor was just 7 years old when she wrote the book based on her mom DeAnna’s cancer treatment. She’s 8 now.

When Taylor was 7, her mommy was diagnosed with the BRCA cancer gene and her third cancer.
“My Cancer Mommy” follows Taylor and DeAnna’s journey from diagnosis to recovery.
Taylor wrote the book because she wants to help other kids whose mommies are sick. Olga Matushkina from Barnaul, Russia lovingly illustrated the book for free.
Taylor lives with her mommy DeAnna and her dad Tim in California, along with their three dogs, Ruby (Black lab), Bella (Mini border collie) and Papa (Teacup long hair Chihuahua).
Proceeds from sales of the book help support Moms with Cancer. “My Cancer Mommy” is available in hardcover for $24.95 at mycancermommy.com.
