A while back, Bald Man was talking about annoyances between us. Yes, there are those things that we all do that annoy our spouses. I’m not talking about the serious offenses that we talk through and resolve because we know the importance of communication and resolution, right? ;) No, I’m talking about those things that we do, we’ve done forever, and will probably continue to do til death do we part.
Here’s my list of grievances against Bald Man:
*He’s already listed his bad habit of not coming home when he says he will, or coming home 30 minutes or later for dinner than he says he will. Not normally a huge deal, unless you’re actually trying to plan a meal. Then? A big pain in the butt.
*He starts explaining things over me. As in, I’m explaining the rules of a game to someone, and he just jumps in and starts explaining them. Even though I’m still explaining them. Yeah.
*He leaves diapers around the house. Ones that he’s changed. Ones that are dirty. It doesn’t happen frequently. It’s not something I haven’t done before. But it is gross.
*He feels the need to show me a new way to do things (esp. on the computer) when I’m perfectly happy with the way I’m already doing them. He’s insistent. It’s aggravating.
Not horrible stuff. Not a complete list. Gotta save something for another post. ;)
Okay, here’s a list of the things that I do that annoy him.
*Leave the lid on the toilet seat up. He’s likes all the lids down. All. Down. Sometimes I forget.
*Use things like the phone to break up ice. Even when he’s standing right next to me. Even though I know it will annoy him.
*Leave lights on all over the house. He says he can come home and just follow the light trail to know what I was up to all day.
*Change up plans on a moment’s notice. He likes to know what’s happening when. I fly by the seat of my pants. That often causes stress for all involved. Meaning him. It stresses him. :P
Again, nothing major. But things we’ll probably be annoyed by for the rest of our wonderful marriage. :P
