~Dr. Jeffrey Berger of Duke University Medical CEnter
And there you have it! Latest results from the Nurses Health Study show that taking aspirin in low to moderate doses (baby aspirin is 81-mg per tablet) can:
-
Reduce the risk of death in middle-aged and older women by 25%
-
Reduce the risk of death from cardiovascular disease by 38%
-
Reduce the risk of death from cancer by 12%
Doctors are suggesting that women talk to their personal physicians to make sure that it’s ok for them to take aspirin as a disease prevention measure.
