9:00 AM – Note to self: Letting the kids play outside one day means they sleep in a fair bit the next. Samantha just got up, and Luke is still in bed.
10:30 AM – Over a breakfast consisting of English muffins and Robertson’s Berries and Cherries Samantha made a keen discovery: The English language was invented in England! I’m so proud…

12:00 PM – OK… now this was pretty good. We’re blitzing through a unit in Science on the human body. Explaining the circulatory system to Jake: “Your blood is kind of like a mailman delivering nutrients to all the parts of your body.” That’s my girl!
12:30 PM – Goldfish and Doritos are an acceptable mid-day snack, right?
2:30 PM – They may be an acceptable mid-day snack, but they are not an acceptable substitute for lunch. Off to find more food.

3:45 PM – Afternoon thunderstorms are rolling in. This puts a cramp in the “let-them-play-outside-all-day-and-get-worn-out” plan.
5:30 PM – Venturing out of the house for a Brownie event. Diaper? Check! Wallet? Check! Kids? Kids!?!
8:15 PM – Two days down; three days to go… A quiet evening arrives, and by quiet I mean it’s time to make sure Jake’s soccer stuff is clean or at least dry.
8:20 PM – OK, since there’s nothing on TV until 9 that I’m willing to endure, much less enjoy, I’ll feed my burgeoning Webkinz addiction for half and hour or so and THEN fold laundry.
10:00 PM – Friday night. Time for Numb3rs. I miss Kerri. :(
11:15 PM – Approaching the halfway point, and I need to keep energized. See everyone tomorrow!

blended,
I bet I can get the same effect sharing my Corona Extra… only without the sneezing and sniffling. :P
How dare you moderate me? I thought we were friends!
[feigns indignation]
Well, Bald Man Wannabeamomma,
If they get colds, they sleep in even more the next day!
