What is this?! Yet another pair of $200 jeans that will never make it to my wardrobe. But maybe I should spring for it. After all, it’s Genetic Denim! Gotta love the name.

Rebecca: That would be a great idea. I like to embroider and sew. I think doing some simple DNA helices on cushions wouldn’t be too hard. But like you said, it’s finding the time that’s hard. I sorely miss stitching!
Yep. And it got me thinking. I actually had this idea of selling DNA stuff, like helical earrings, cuff links etc. and donating the proceeds to diseases that have known genetic causes like cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, Retts syndrome etc.
I thought it would be even better if genetics professionals actually made some of the goods, like the earrings.
In all my spare time right?
Anyone interested or think it is an idea worth pursuing?
Don’t you love it? Have you seen The DNA Store?
Nope, not really into jeans, just genes. I just get a kick out of how people market DNA stuff!
Rebecca: Sounds like you’re a jeans fanatic! I didn’t dig around the site much to find those product lines. lol
Too funny. I love the scary looking scientist with the lab glasses and omnious way of donning gloves. I wish I looked that cool at work.
I especially love the product line: the Recessive Gene, the Dominate Gene and the Mutated Gene.
