I so want peanut butter right now

Here’s where a negative body image comes into play in a rather predictable, but somewhat amusing way:

I want peanut butter.

No, wait… I really want peanut butter.

But I already ate dinner.

If I eat peanut butter, that’s too many calories.  I’ll get fat.

But if I don’t eat peanut butter, I’ll think about it until I can get my hands on some.

And if that happens, I’ll indulge.

Okay, so I’m going to eat something else.

(A bowl of cereal and two Laffy Taffys later…)

I want peanut butter.

And so the saga begins again…

That’s funny because I really wanted peanut butter last night. A PB and honey sandwich, to be specific. I think I was craving fat since my day-to-day intake is pretty low.
I tell myself I’ll regret it later. Because if I give in, I always do. Sad really.

I go through this saga EVERY DAY! I hate it and it plagues me. Logically I know I need protien and just eat the spoonful, but ED’s voice is louder and sucks me into the never ending cycle.

Isnt’ it sad the games we play to try to deny what our body really wants and needs?
