iPhone App for Swine Flu Outbreaks

If you want to track the latest outbreaks of the H1N1 virus, there’s an iPhone application just for you. The new app is called “Outbreaks Near Me” and allows you to see who else in your area is getting sick with an infectious disease.

The application “combines the GPS system of the iPhone with outbreak tracking information from HealthMap.org” in order to track and provide the information. Makers feel that if people know when an outbreak is heading their way, they can take the proper precautions like extra hand washing and wearing masks.
