I’ve made the acquaintance of some cool people as a result of my beedies (and not just my hot doctor, either), and one of my favorites is Amy Tenderich, of Diabetes Mine, a diabetes blog that’s actually, you know, informative. She recently won the LillyforLife Achievement Award for Diabetes Journalism, after all. (Personally, I’m just hoping to achieve enough acclaim with my own book to impress girls in bars. Actual information? That’s just crazy talk.)
Well, her new book, Know Your Numbers, Outlive Your Diabetes, written with Dr. Richard Jackson of Boston’s Joslin Diabetes Center, is out and available now. It’s a hands-on guide to assist diabetics in identifying and managing the most critical health risks as well as helping patients set realistic goals for managing their disease.
You can get it in the usual places like Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Borders, and soon you’ll be able to order it directly from Amy’s website.
Now, I’m not saying that your very SURVIVAL depends on you going and purchasing Amy’s book just as soon as you finish reading this. But really, why take the chance?
