Side Effects of Medicine

Will you keep the side effects of your medicine if you quit taking it? Yes and no. In general, when medicine fully processes through your body, the side effects will end. However, in some cases, medicine can actually damage your body, in which case the side effects will continue and perhaps even get worse.

It’s always a good idea to discuss side effects with your doctor before taking medication. If your doctor doesn’t tell you about the side effects, see if you can do some research on your own. Also discuss your questions with your doctor, but there is a wealth of information available if you’re unsure where to begin.
