Top Ten Excuses for Not Exercising

Do you make excuses about exercise? I do. I’m still trying to get consistent. When I work out, I feel great — yet the next day, I find myself making excuses. Here are my top ten — can you add any?

  1. I’m too busy. I’ve got a meeting, a deadline, an appointment, can’t squeeze it in.
    2. It’s raining. When it stops, I’ll go.
    3. It’s too hot. When it cools off, I’ll go take a walk.
    4. I’ve already taken my shower today — better wait and exercise tomorrow.
    5. I’m running late, and the step class already started. Oh well. I’ll be on time tomorrow.
    6. I’m not in the mood. I’m sure I’ll be in the mood tomorrow.
    7. I’m having a stressful day. I won’t be as stressed out tomorrow. Then I can exercise.
    8. My (fill in the blank) hurts. I better take it easy today, so I won’t overdo it.
    9. I hate working out alone. I need someone to work out with me.
    10. I got winded walking to the mailbox — doesn’t that count for exercise?

Do any of these sound familiar? My #1 excuse is that I’m too busy. Yet when I work out, I have more energy and can accomplish more in less time. How about you? What’s your biggest excuse?

My friend always uses the excuse she already walked up and down the stairs to do laundry, or she has kids, OR she shoveled snow already.. LOL Excuses are useless… I have no sympathy for those that are over weight, or unhealthy if they do not at least TRY!!!!!!!!!!!. better yet, don’t try, Just do it…….

Many of us are actually prisoners of these excuses not to exercise. And more often than not, it is actually our own will leading us down to the pit of excessive weight gain up to the extent of falling into obesity. We all have been into these stages and many are still consistently doing no exercise at all. It is totally agreeable that even though you may find yourself enjoying the benefits of a workout or exercise, still, you find it hard to keep it up the next day. Working out or exercising should be a habit and not a chore that you can skip with or choose not to do. It is important to find the best and right activity for you to burn those calories away. There are tons of information available that can help you out through this if you really want to have a better life and good health. All you have to do is motivate yourself and condition your mind that you can never get anything in just a blink of an eye.
