Washington Post Reports on American Response to Avian Influenza

A new poll, as reported by “The Washington Post,” says that 60% of Americans are concerned about avian influenza, but fewer than 33% think it will appear in the United States this year.  The survey also showed that if the bird flu did appear in the U.S., it would have a major impact on the life of Americans.  “‘… if it hits their community, they’re going to stop doing everything,’ said Robert Blendon, the Harvard health policy professor who directed the survey.
