100 Things I Learned From Motherhood – #100

parentood

It doesn’t get easier.

Each kid you have is more work. Each year it only gets harder. You house depreciates. Your car needs to be replaced. You get older. Wrinkles begin, and then deepen.
It does get sweeter.

I never knew how much deeper I’d love them as they get older. Years ago I used to stress about them (and me) aging, but I don’t now, because getting to know them is so very sweet.

I’ve got one girl that loves to come back with sarcastic wit (like her mommy). Another girl giggles so much that just winking at her makes her burst into laughter. My little boy has such passion; I’m told I’m the ‘best mommy ever’ whenever I fix him dinner or buy him a piece of gum. Even the baby is beginning to have her own little personality when she tries to wink or imitates our silly noises.

I can’t believe I used to think that it would get boring as they got older. I can’t believe I thought it would get easier. I admit know that I really had no idea what I was getting into…
I didn’t plan well for motherhood, but I’m getting along now just fine, thank you.

That was sweet. I’m looking forward to the many years I will spend with my kids. I’m also looking forward to my youngest getting through his “get into everything and touch everything” stage. It’s making me nuts. LOL Blessings to you!
