A Little Distraction Action

I really don’t want to distract you from the important new information about breastfeeding I just posted. I don’t want to divert your attention from my Generous December Group Writing Project. And, I certainly don’t want you to be too busy to vote for me in Project Blog Week Three. That said, there are some really nice things happening to distract you and fill those annoying empty spaces under the Christmas tree…after you’ve take care of the three things on my list, of course.

Have I ever confessed that on rainy days all I want to do is stay home, eat toast with butter and drink tea? It is my weakness. Now, while I am out taking on that rainy day, I can read about steamier, warmer, crispier experiences. Kettle & Cup, a new blog about coffee and tea, is giving away a pound of coffee every Friday in December.

The Carnival of Family Life is still in Australia this week taking a break from winter snow at Imagine If.

Offbeat Homes is running a contest with three great prizes including the book The Natural House, the magazine Dwell and a little alien.

Dwell, November 2007 Issue

Chloe at Tangled Thread is having a Winter Wonderland Contest that features my new holiday jewellery…or gifts tags, if your gift-wrapping is style-challenged.

Busy Mom has FIVE iPod Nanos to give away at her blog.

Noreen at Hankering for Yarn made a snowman crochet hook. Now she’s giving it away.

Marcie writes My Two Boys in addition to her other blogs and she has Nature Pod baby toys to give away.

The Food Bowl is also having a contest where you can win a Get Fuzzy anthology.
