I am making a wedding quilt for my granddaughter, white on white. I embroidered Corinthians 13 about love never fails and will sew it on a white backround and quilt it all together with hearts.
The last fabric item I made was a bed for my cat. Or…it might of been a tiny sushi-type toy I made for my cat. They were both around the same time and I can’t remember which I made first.
The last thing I did with fabric was to make some postcards I sent to new friends in my Caligraphy Guild. We had to “decorate” envelopes and I included them on the inside to give them a taste of something else I did.
I am planning on altering my first outfit and want to try and paint it first. I have been inspired to try some different paint techniques. I love fabric, fiber, and doing the unexpected. I am always looking for new ideas and new ways to use them in my projects! Thanks for the inspiration.
Wow, for a minute i had to remember – i’m dabbling in fabric now I saw that cover on your book and said how i’d love to make that! I’m a “newbie” and just starting to dabble again into projects..this would be a beginning for me!
Well, the most adventurous thing I have done with fabric is a quilted bedspread with embroidery and buttons, so I NEED THIS BOOK! :-)
Seriously, sounds like just the thing to jumpstart my creativity.

I have this room that I have nicknamed the “personality room”. It is stuffed full of all the things I can’t find a home for in my house…and unfortunately, it is supposed to be my sewing room. So, once I unearth it, (and winning this book would give me the incentive), I would like to get in there and start sewing clothes again. I also want to make purses as Christmas gifts, so again, this book would be a great inspiration. Thanks for the nudge!
I’m working on making a stuffed snake from Rumpledquiltskins for my granddaughter. All of my friends give me their little bitty scraps of fabric. I’m collecting all of the oranges and yellows, putting them together and making the fabric to make this snake. He’s going to be really colorful when I get him finished, I think.
I love it!
Very very cool!
i finished putting together a black and white quilt, and it has been quilted. i still need to put on the binding. what i would like to do is make fabric a part of my paper arts. fabric sewn to cardstock….fabric formed into flowers….there are many places for fabric in my arts.
That is some book! I have most of the requisite materials and currently have the time to explore nearly all of the projects she outlines.
I particularly like the detailed photos and instructions. They stop any confusion or queries about how processes and things are to be done.
Looking forward to hearing about things people will have made from it. Photos would be wonderful!
The last fabric project I did was a steampunk bellydance costume. Tres cool!
My last fabric project was a dress I made called The Bat Dress. Blogged here. http://www.alphaville.com.au/stylopath/?p=1508
I usually stick to making cushions from upholstery oddments, but I am slowly progressing to garment designs from thrifted fabric. I love fabric.
The last fiber project I worked on (actually still working on) is my niece’s college quilt. It is coming along nicely considering it is my first attempt at machine quilting a large quilt. There is a picture of the quilt top on my blog. I am also working on a cloth doll that will be covered with paperclay and playing a harp. She has legs, arms, and a body, but no head yet. :)
My latest project was sewing different pillows for my family. I’m more into knitting now, so I haven’t done much fabric work lately, which is why this book would be great for new ideas :)
oh pick me! I am pretty new to working with fabric but i hope to work with more. I lined the inside of a purse and it looked so pretty wth the velvet fabric i used. Angelica
My current project is making rag baby quilts for 2 friends. My last completed project was a puppet theater to hang in the doorway for my granddaughter. Oh, and I have to finish a yo-yo clown.
The fabric project I would like to work on next that looks easy for me a beginner would be making a quilt out of old t-shirts that are favorites but don’t fit my son anymore you make quilt blocks from the logo or saying from the soccer camp, vacation, whatever the favorite t-shirt is then make it into a cool quilt or memento.
My last fabric project was hemming my son’s jeans, does that count:-) I haven’t had a chance to work on anything fun all summer, but I love doing hand embroidery. Hopefully I can get a new project going this fall.
