Creating Nature Indoors

Each spring, most of us get the yearning to be outside. It’s known as spring fever!

The problem is that there never seems to be enough time or the right weather at the right time. We just aren’t getting outdoors as much as we want.

One way to soothe the aches of spring fever is to bring the outdoors inside. You can do it with a few simple accents.

The River Stone Mat from VivaTerra is a great beginning to your quest to make the indoors more natural. And, yes, the stones are real and gathered by hand. Place in front of your shower or a door.

Next, add a splash of real green inexpensively with Spanish Moss from Pottery Barn. It’s harvested and dried by hand, plus easy to add to your floral arrangements.

At last, add a woodsy accent piece with Manzanita Branch Candleholders by designer Roost, available at Velocity Art and Design . These bronze branches look realistic enough to cast a nature spell.

I would have never thought to dye Spanish moss green, but it does look nice in the picture. I have plenty around here, though.
