Read on if you’re a booklover.
You see, if you love books and you also love the environment, it is not a secret anymore that you’re going to deal with contradictions. Printing out a book means having to cut down trees to make paper.
However, there seems to be a way around it. With Eco-libris, you can not only have keep our surroundings green but also fulfill your insatiable thirst for reading, for books, and for more knowledge.
Eco-libris is based in California and this cause calls out for people to plant a tree with every book that they read. Founded by Raz Godelink, this seems like a good cause to me. The founder even declares, “The idea behind Eco-libris is to enable book lovers and readers to take action and to make their reading habits more sustainable.”
Now, if you’re not much of a reader, you can also help out by donating some cash. Each dollar would mean offsetting a book read and one tree to be planted somewhere around the world.
