Yes, I know that Halloween was just here, but I like to get an early start on my Christmas crafting!
I love making Christmas ornaments, and I ended up creating quite a few original Christmas ornament patterns last year.
Here are some of my favorite Christmas ornament tutorials and how-tos from last year. As always, these are my own original patterns and are not to be copied or reposted elsewhere without my permission.

Hi Mary Emma – I’ve got the yo-yo circle tutorial online now :-)

I just love that funky looking dog paw ornament. Great ideas. ;-)
Intriguing ornaments, Chloe, and so creative. Let me know when the yo-yo tutorial is up and I’ll link to it. My Quilting and Patchwork readers love yo-yos…and I do, too. I just found a bag of them I made some years ago. I’ll take a look and see if they’re appropriate for Christmas ornaments.

Hi Eileen,
Yo-yos are little circles of fabric, sewn around the edges with a running stitch and then gathered to make a circle.
I’m creating a full tutorial on yo-yos this week, which should be up in the next few days :-)
Would you ever let me share this on my blog?

These are great craft ideas for the holidays. It is a great way to spend quality time with the kids and do something fun and festive as well.
At the risk of asking a stupid question, Chloe, what are those little “yo-yo” thingies? They sure are cute. Do you have directions on your blog for them?
