In the previous post I did a quick intro post; Anywhere Vault – One Home Inventory Solution. Now some very cool news…

This would be nice, because right now I back things up to raided hard drives in the house which cover the scenario where something happens to my computer, but doesn’t address catastrophes at all which is when it’s most likely that we’d need the info!

I’ve been planning on borrowing my boss’s scanner over summer to scan my documents and do an inventory – there can always happen anything… And since my backpack with wallet, keys, driver’s license (let alone the memories… ;-<) was stolen last weekend, I am DEFINITELY into getting inventories – it’s just so hard to come up with detailed descriptions when you are talking to the insurance-companies. Vault looks like a great system – safe, reliable… I was thinking about burning CDs and storing them outside my place, but having access to the inventory from EVERYWHERE sounds even better! Thanks for the idea – and the giveaway! ;-)
That looks like a very secure way to manage a home inventory since it’s offsite and encrypted. Sure sounds useful to me.

That is sooooo what I need. And after seeing all the natural disasters recently its gotten me thinking about storing all the important documents and stuff in my house
I live in a high crime neighborhood that is also subject to hurricanes. I need to keep an offsite inventory of my belongings at all times. I had never heard of Anywhere Vault, but I could certainly use a service of this nature. It’s good to know that there is software like this to keep me organized and protected.

For me, it’s perfect because it means I don’t have to worry about the paper anymore. I’m terribly disorganized with paperwork and I’ve been losing receipts for as long as I can remember which has caused me more hassles than I care to recollect right now. Keeping a picture and receipt together in an organized way like this is exactly what I need. Fantastic!

This looks great – i like the idea of a centralized location for all my “stuff”
I was planning on doing just what the website offers in the next few weeks with all our receipts. I was going to send everything to a newly created e-mail address dedicated just for that but using a software like the Vault is even better.
