A while back I reviewed Tarte’s spring greening limited-edition reusable straw palette – a pretty spring-minded, eco-friendly make-up kit. Now I’ve got a couple more Tarte items you might be interested in.

WHAT I THINK:

In bad news first, Tarte cheek stain gets a 4 at Skin Deep, which is not the best, but not the worst either. About 33% Of blush products are healthier. Actually if they could make this with a bit more natural of a fragrance their score would be greatly improved – likely a two. That was the only bad news though.
I LOVED the smell of this stain. You want to lick it (seriously), it has a yummy berryish Fruity Pebbles cereal sort of scent without being TOO much. The stain is in a little roll-on container (think deodorant-like) and rolls on your skin or fingers easily and does not drip or stain. Once you’ve got some stain smoothed on, you get about 20 seconds to blend before it dries.
The end result is a healthy looking blush with a tint of color – like you just went for a jog and subtle pretty sparkles. I don’t do blush normally, but I really liked this juicy stain. ALSO note, I threw this in my bag to see if it would leak (yeah, and older bag) and banged it around some, and nothing. Even though this is juicy stain, it didn’t leak at all.
OVERALL SCORE:

Four out of five little trees. Because of the moderate score at Skin Deep, I’m taking away one tree. Overall, I like this stain a lot though, would use it again, and recommend it to others.
