In the past week I have been privy to several new products on the market (and a few that are long time loves). My doorbell was ringing nonstop yet I was still not really in the Christmas spirit until one special package arrived today: Hal, the Moose.
If you remember, my family had the chance to visit RideMakerz, a division of Build a Bear. Well, they also recently gifted us with two $10 gift cards for the Build-a-Bear store…which I am passing on to two special readers.
1. Hal, the Moose is one of THE softest stuffed animals I have come across in ages and although mine is currently without clothing I might just take him in for that gorgeous argyle sweater to deck him out. His moose ears light up with Christmas lights and the very best thing? He does NOT make noise (even though you can add it).
Now, you can purchase both Hal, the adventurous Moose, and Holly, the sensible one, together for only 24.99 and get their Christmas book free. Or, you can opt to do things individually.
2. AJ had a chance last week to preview Beethoven’s Big Break. I love that he gets to preview new movies, not because he sits on the couch with me but because he tells me what he likes…this one was a little slo
w to start but he did like it. I liked that scenes were taken directly from the original movie but the kidnapping scenes were a bit too 101 Dalmations.
The movie does NOT hit shelves until January 30 so it is a great birthday present for a kid who gets everything they want for the holidays.
3. We also had a fabulous delivery from Parents Toys…Bristle Blocks, Twirlie Tots. I think I was more excited to play with these than AJ. They are an absolute fabulous fine motor and sensory motor toy for kids and I wish I had them two years ago for AJ. Sure, he had blocks but he needed help with pushing and pulling and he most definitely needed that sensory input from the bristles.
For ANY kid with sensory issues…please get these. Not sure if they are on the shelves yet but they should be getting there soon!

I was in the Build-a-Bear store in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Everyone there was having a great time, staff too! I got my 2 grand-daughters Build-a-Bear gift certificates for Christmas. This would add to that gift. Thanks for the contest.
