Mad Cropper’s Christmas Holiday Random Act of Kindness

christmas-charity.jpg

Hello there mad croppers!

I’d like to ask your help. I’m creating a page that will list eligible charities that people may want to donate to during the festive Christmas season.

It will give all our readers the chance to select the charity they wish to contribute to! This is our way for paying it forward. I’ve had good blessings this year and I want to spread it around :-)

If you support or know of any charity who’d like to be included in our list, please email the following information to me at christine(at)b5media(dot)com:

  1. Name of the Charity
  2. URL
  3. Description of the Charity
  4. Method of acceptance of donations (ie paypal, credit card, etc)

Please submit these to me on or before 24 Nov 2008 and I’ll have the Mad Cropper Page on ‘Give some Love on Christmas Day’ by 26th November.

Look forward to hearing from you soon!

Mad Croppers unite! :-)

Stay happy!

I’d like to nominate Operation Kid Comfort:

    http://www.operationkidcomfort.blogspot.com/

It’s collection of volunteer quilters from all over the USA (and other countries too, I believe) who provide free quilts to children of deployed service men & women.

The quilts are customized to each child and are made with fabric photo transfer of the child’s parent who is overseas.

They don’t have a specific method of donation, but there is an email address for people who want to donate money, time or fabric:

    operationkidcomfort@gmail.com

Thanks for running this Christine – what a wonderful idea :-)

I want to donate locally this year. Keep the local economy thriving and helping the 335 people who just got laid off.

I like mentoring programs as a general rule.

How do we empower women? One woman at a time.

The White House Project is a great one because it trains and grooms women leaders – leaders of commerce, charity, non-profit, the world, their communities and politics. http://www.thewhitehouseproject.org. It’s a “teach them to fish” type of non-profit. Don’t give them money – give them SKILLS to change the world.
