My father is having surgery tomorrow. The, um, same father that takes care of my mother. The same mother that, you know, can’t be alone (advanced lung cancer). So, the next 2 days involves the precision planning of 3 sitters, my husband, my 80 year old mother-in-law, and, me.
It also involves me getting up at 4am tomorrow to begin all this fun. So, what are you still doing here? I need to get some sleep, and, so do you.

Oh my God. Please let us know as soon as the day is over to let us know everyone survived. Actually, survived isn’t the right word, but I can’t think of a better one…

I’m at work right now. Hope I’m not still here when you’re up to take your dad for surgery!! Hope everything goes groovy.
