Hey all. This month the Lifestyles Channel here at b5 decided to get together and do a theme day called “Where I blog from.”
Here’s my office space – which is still fairly makeshift, but not too cluttered. It’s a little sloppy because it’s before (not after) cleaning day, but as you’ll see, I really do keep my actual workspace clear.
Later, watch for a round up of all the blog spaces – I’ll post links of spaces that belong to the other bloggers in the Lifestyles channel.
If you blog, why not tell me where it is you blog at – the couch, an office, the porch…

[...] Jennifer Chait at Declutter It gives a tour of her office and, in the process, shares a bunch of ideas about how to keep clutter at bay. I especially like her “everyday shelf” and her “sometimes shelf” ideas. How cool. Check out her office video here. [...]

I’m actually a little bad about keeping my cup actually on the plate :( If I leave the plate near the back of my desk, I’ll just set the cup next to me. Then (duh) I realized – why not move the darn plate closer when I have a cup. Geez right.
I love the plate for the coffee cup! Maybe I’ll try that…

Hey Melody.. It’s best to work by a window IMO, you get more inspiration, plus natural light (good for folks who work in an office/ desk job).
It’s really smart to have a blog schedule. In my case, it’s a necessity. I’ve got around 10-12 blogs at any given time – no schedule means I don’t get everything done. Then I’d have to get a job in the outside world, and we can’t have that now, can we? :)
Inspired by your ebook, I moved a desk by a window in my livingroom. The view from this window is amazing and inspiring. During the day I can see “forever,” and at night I see hundreds of twinkling lights. This is my new place to write posts for my blog…or comment on blogs. :)
I love seeing that you have a weekly schedule. I have just recently created a written schedule for promoting my blog.
So… when we do take over the world, we’ll be able to pull sneaky stunts on folks – at least by phone – when necessary :) That’s too funny, and a little odd. I actually knew one other person in my life who talked like me (I mean exactly) she looked like me thought too. People thought we were twins. It was bizarre. (No relation).
I am serious..my voice is a tad deeper but Marc thought it was me.
@Marye are you serious? (About the voice). Thank, I won’t be painting it red. Red is actually my least fave color. It gives my mind trouble.
@Ciara Seriously, I’ve been using army time since 1996 or so and I still get it mixed up. It’s weird and obnoxious.
military time is very easy to remember…24 hours in the day. start at midnight with 00:00 hrs. once you get past noon it’s just 1300 for 1 p.m. which is the 13th hour of the day. i grew up military.
i blog in a formal living room that we use as an office…who really uses a formal living room anyways? lol
Jennifer has my voice and my accent! YIKES!
Love your office..even if it is not red.
