Want to make a new wreath for your front door in about five minutes? A simple, white snowflake wreath that costs under $5? You do? Well, you’re in luck, because I just finished one and took photos along the way.
To make your wreath, you’ll need:
- Plastic snowflake ornaments (I got mine at Walmart for $3.99 for the whole pack and had a few left over.)
- Pretty piece of narrow ribbon for a hanger
- Hot glue gun
- Circle shaped item that is about as large as you’d like the wreath to be.
Directions:
Your first step is to remove all the little hangers from the snowflake ornaments. It is pretty easy, but did take about a minute to do.
Next, lay the snowflakes out on the circular item that you are using for your wreath guide. Play around with the way the snowflakes overlap until you are happy with the final result. (As you can see, I didn’t remove the hangers first. I had to take everything back off to do this and added another step instead of simply gluing the ornaments down right here.)
Line up the first ornament, apply some hot glue and quickly place the next ornament into position. If you didn’t have to take them all off to remove the hangers, you can simply lift the edge of the overlapping ornament, apply glue and press it back into place.
Here is the partially completed wreath.
The final product! Now, all I need is the ribbon for the wreath hanger. I simply threaded it through the hole in the top ornament where the single ornament hanger used to be.
