Remember When…

I said I was going to go search for the Fuji Television Headquarters because I didn’t believe it was really 25 stories tall? It was only a few days ago, so I’m hoping your answer is an enthusiastic, “Yes.”

I did search. I did find. I’m not altogether convinced it’s the same building. It certainly doesn’t look like the same building. But it is very odd and tall. So if it’s the same building they weren’t lying.

What do you think?

It’s tall:

When you take pictures of it from this direction it makes you feel like you’re losing your marbles:

And it makes you think that you can walk on water:

The ground was actually my favorite part. Very spacey.

Same building? Still, it’s pretty cool looking.

For anyone just stopping by now; click the above link in Susan’s comment — for a very good branding post about this crazy building.

Jennifer, I just wrote a post about this building and provided my take on what the brand is all about based on having a building like this for their HQ. Stop by and let me know what you think the building says about the Fuji TV brand. Here’s the URL:

Very cool building! I wonder what this says about the Fuji brand? I think I’ll have to post about this on Brandcurve (with a link back here, of course).

that is cool looking…in an odd sort of way.

Hmm. Unless that undulating facade is plastered somewhere on the back or side of the building, I think they must be two different structures. But they’re both still pretty darn cool. (I’d still rather live in the treehouse…)
