Even though the definition of an “older” worker is dangerously close to my age, it looks like RetirementJobs.com might be a good place to start for someone looking for a second career later in life.
I wish this had been a popular topic 17 or so years ago when my father found himself without the job he had held for 33 years. Long story, but, he was nearing 60 and looking for a job. It all worked out like it was supposed to and he is thriving as a teacher now, but, I can’t imagine having been in his position back then.
I think it’s great that there are sites out there specializing in helping the over 50 crowd (of which I”m one) to find jobs.
It is so important to keep working and doing things that are fulfilling, especially as we get older.
