Soon, you just may be seeing solar-powered rickshaws in New Delhi. This may start in this place but it soon could be finding its way to the rest of India if it does really perform well.
According to the report, by the 2nd of October this year, the usual rickshaws which are pulled by people would have to pull over for the solar rickshaws. Such is the plan and the people behind it are saying that they are looking at the area in Chandni Chowk as the first place where the solar-powered rickshaws would first roam.
The solar-powered rickshaw is sure going to be something new. It has been built well and weighs around 210 kilograms. By using power from the sun, this ride could actually go to a high of 15 to 20 kilometers. It just needs the sun to be shining and the battery that would store the converted power.
