Shop responsibly & donate to an eco-cause

If you want to shop, but shop for an eco-cause, there are plenty of places that allow you to not only shop but to make a difference by donating a percentage of your purchase to an eco-cause of your choice.

Green Any Site: Green Any Site (GAS) (shown above), you can easily donate a portion of any online purchase to the environment. You pull their bookmarking tab to your browser and when you click it when you buy a product somewhere some of the proceeds from your purchase are donated to an eco-cause. Basically, web retailers (think Amazon, Buy.com) pay other sites a percentage of each purchase for referrals. When you use GAS, all of that money goes to supporting green causes.

We-Care.com: At We-Care.com you can browse all sorts of popular shops and choose goods as you normally would but then by adding an extra click through We-Care.com or using their plug-in, you can donate a percentage of your purchase to the nonprofit, school, or association of your choice. There’s no required registration and merchants include everything from retail, travel, financial services, to bookstores and more. Each merchant listing also states how much they’ll donate and each cause has a blurb about their projects or organization.
