Who would ever believe that a hangar could actually help lessen expenses on electricity? Well, people today would believe that it is very much possible. But for people who lived several decades ago, they would think that it can be quite a feat. Now, the thing is, this is a reality.
If you are interested, you may head over to the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank and you would find there a hangar that is solar powered. This is the one responsible for the power that is needed for the lights, for the vehicles, and even for the forklifts and everything else that needs power in that area.
See, what happened was that this hangar was given solar panels and these were placed on the rooftop. This hangar is Hangar 25 and its rooftop is filled with solar panels. Yes, all 60,000 square feet of it. Nice.
There are no claims yet but this is seen as the very first solar hangar.
