Solar Power Plant In South Korea To Be Built By Hyosung

In South Korea, Hyosung Corporation has just announced that they have just been chosen as the company which would be building a solar power plant for the Korea Western Power Co. They would be building the power plant in Miryang which is located in the southwestern area of the country.

According to the company, they would be building this plant to have a capacity of three megawatts. Of course, how much would be the budget for such a project has not been disclosed. What was only shared was the fact that the building would be in two phases. One would be completed by September this year and the last one would be by done by next year.

An official of the Hyosung Corporation did mention, “Solar power generation is expected to represent 2.6 percent of South Korea’s total power generation by renewable energy by 2011.” He also did state that such a plant would help the country show its citizens about the use of renewable energy like solar power.

    If Korea can the US can, put the solar plants in the desert areas and build “meccas” around them. Make them super environment-friendly, super insulated, super efficient cottage industry style manufacturing centers with sustainability a priority – and burn no oil laws
