Super Bowl Party recipes

football-and-helmet.jpgI’m at work, and, I’m hungry, so food is on my mind.

According to the stats here, you really like ideas for potluck recipes.

Though I’ve never understood why it’s on a Sunday night, the Super Bowl, the biggest event in American Professional Football is this weekend.

I also consider it the official ending of Appetizer Season (I loves appetizers, and, I say it begins on Halloween), so, if you’re going to a Super Bowl party, or, any big game, really it’s always nice to bring something good to eat, even if you have to spend the big day at work.

Here’s a few sites where you can find some great ideas:

So, make something festive, go to your party (or stay home) and enjoy the game.

If you’re not a sports fan, there’s always the Super Bowl commercials, which are sometimes better than the game itself.

Or, you can even have an Anti-Super Bowl party.

This is an excellent point, about appetizer season. It is too bad I did not think of that first over on my food blog. :)

I am gearing up to make 7-layer dip this weekend. I say, gearing up, because if you’ve ever made it, you know it takes for freakin’ ever just to layer 7 things in your dish. I have no idea why, but it always takes me more than half an hour, and mostly it just involves opening cans and scooping stuff out. But I love 7-layer dip.

Sadly, I have to fit in a bridesmaid dress NEXT Saturday, and I’m still about 5 lbs away. This is not going to be a pretty Super Bowl.
