The Family and Relationships Channel Talks About Education

The cycle of learning never ends! Today I am hosting the b5media Family and Relationship channel’s monthly carnival. Each of our authors has shared an aspect of education that is near and dear to their heart and the stages they are at in life now. Be sure to stop in and check them all out – there is some good stuff!

Education begins early and often the parent and teacher communication is an issue regardless of the age of your child. Kate at Babylune shares her experience with communication in the daycare environment and The Woolen Tights Police.

Play time is one of the best learning opportunities for all of us, especially young children. Kerri at PlayLibrary shares with us the toys that make a difference in her post Educating at Play Time.

Balancing school and extra curricular activities is a fine line and the answer is different for each family. While Kelly’s kids are still young she wonders how her sister-in-law’s family does it. Thrifty Mommy tackles Family Time Education In Real Life.

Christina at Solo Mother and I definitely have something in common! It is the joys of public schools. She got her child into the school of her choice, but now needs to find out if he wants to go there. Read the rest of the story at Life and the Public Schools.

As many of my regular readers know, I have a child going off to middle school in the fall. It will be a time of change and a source of anxiety, but everything will be just fine (if we could only decide what school to send him to). My entry for the carnival is Tips for Making an Easier Transition to Middle School – although some of the tips are applicable to all ages.

And then there is the homeschooling option. Steve at Inside Fatherhood shares his thoughts in Think About Homeschooling, Pushing Education to the Next Level. I have had many experiences with families who chose to homeschool their kids and they have been positive for the most part.

Karen from Thrifty Mommy shares 10 fabulous tips for How to Pay Cash for College. Her number 1 idea of going to a community college for the first two years is a very popular strategy in our area.

Finally, we never stop learning in the school called life! Anna at Widows Quest spells it all out in her post called Heartbreak University.

Char, great post. I would have submitted for the “family channel” via Dating Dames, but honestly I couldn’t think of anything outside of topics that would send this carnival right to the gutter :)
