Thirteen Things To Put In Your Tweens Easter Basket

Thursday Thirteen

Are you ready for Easter Sunday? Me? I have purchased everything the Easter Bunny needs to put together three baskets and fill eggs for the egg hunt, but that is as far as I have got. For my Thursday Thirteen post, here are some things you may find in my kids Easter baskets (no, they aren’t all getting all 13 – I have a boy and two girls).

  1. Classic Chocolate Easter Bunny
  2. Jellybeans
  3. Robin’s Eggs
  4. Peeps
  5. Fun hair accessories and some lip gloss for the girls
  6. Flip flops for each of them
  7. Cute spring t-shirt
  8. Paper airplane making kit for my son
  9. Handheld game (inexpensive – from FiveBelow)
  10. Squishy microbead pillow
  11. iTunes Gift Card
  12. Ice Cream Gift Card
  13. Gift Card to go to the movies on Spring Break

How old are your kids and do they still get Easter Baskets?  What goes in them?

Love the flip flop idea. We can never have enough of those. My girls also love the little teen magazines which make a great, inexpensive addition to the basket!

Your list is really cool. I, too, have 2 girls and a boy. My list mirrors yours ~ each girl got flip flops with really cool spirally things and beads to decorate them with; all 3 got sunglasses, chocolate bunnies, lifesavers, egg shaped tootsie pops, and easter smarties; my son got an Atlanta Braves hat; my daughter, who craves ice cream, an ice cream gift card; then I put jelly beans, easter candy corn, and robin eggs in plastic wrap shaped like carrots and tied with green raffia (sp?). My kids are only with me every other Easter, so it seems like they get a lot, but not when you consider it’s every other year. Happy Easter.

Nice list, but wouldn’t your daughter enjoy a paper airplane kit, too? .. and maybe some nice hair product would be less gender-bothersome than hair accessories ….

Great ideas! I was just wondering about what to put in my 12 year old’s basket. :) Thanks for the inspiration.

Hey, excellent list! I like your ideas. I’ve given gift cards on other occasions…it’s always a hit with teens. Squishy pillows are well-liked also. Haven’t done the flipflop thing yet.
    Thanks for sharing!
