Tiny Moosmann House

I really like Hermann Kaufmann’s work; projects from Kaufmann are simple but always interesting to look at.

Like the super small, very cool, energy efficient Moosmann House.

Gorgeous. The only issue I have with Kaufmann is that I can’t read the website. There is a translation offered at the website, but when I hit English, this is what I see… “Thema dieses Entwurfs war es, in die äußerst beengte Siutation zwischen zwei bestehenden Einfamilienhäusern einen Neubau für eine junge Familie zu konzipieren. Im ostseitigen Haus leben die Eltern der Bauherrin, mit denen gemeinsam die Positionierung des neuen Gebäudes und die, beide Familien betreffende, Eingangssituation erarbeitet wurde” which is not the English I know.

That said, if you can find a translation for yourself, Kaufmann’s site is still worth a good long look. There are some excellent commercial structures to see there, which means a lot coming from me, as I tend to like residential way more. Check out the tourism structures for sure, oh, and this multifamily housing.
