Think of a sport that really makes the players stay under the sun because you really have got no option. Have you got one in mind now? Well, if you’re thinking tennis, you’re wrong because there are already covered courts. If you’re thinking soccer, you may have a deal here. But I’m thinking golf.
See, golf players use golf carts which help them travel from one point to another in this huge piece of land known as a golf course. Now, one person has decided to make golf even greener. How? This person, Shane Bennett, has come up with what is known as a solar golf cart.
The concept is plain and simple. He has used the ordinary golf cart and tinkered with it so that the vehicle uses the power of the sun as its source of energy. Nice idea, right? Sure enough, there are more and more golf courses using such.

This idea has been around since the 1980′s We use to sell solar tops that were built by ARCO Solar to golf courses around the country. We now have a four passenger cart that has run for over 100 days without having to recharge. But I like the headline, and enjoy seeing anyone coming up with ways to use solar eletricity. I am sure that ARCO was not the first to think it up.
