Fitting in exercise has always been a difficult thing for me and my friends. It seems that it’s the one thing we tend to put off, with the good intention of getting a workout in after we finish work, or first thing when we get up, or perhaps even after we put the kids to bed. (Which might mean that you’re exercising at 10:00 at night!)
Getting fit with your kids is probably the best way to add a little balance to your life. Then again, it doesn’t always work out that way.
I used to head to the gym, but as I started to get busier my visits were less and less. Now, I work out with DVDs at home and they really help. I think having a collection that you can vary depending in your mood is key.
To that end, I’ve got a DVD of The Firm Cardio Sculpt to give away to one Career and Kids reader. I’m also interested in how each of you fit in exercise with a busy schedule and kids. So to enter this giveaway, leave a comment on this post with the way you keep fit with a busy life. There are no wrong answers. In fact, if you say you currently DON’T fit in exercise right now I will surely understand! Go ahead and comment anyway. Just be sure to do it by Sunday, August 17th.
I’ll choose a winner at random and announce the lucky guy or gal the next day.

I have to give up free time in the evenings to work out.
I have to continue watcing what I eat since I can’t always work out.

I haven’t been good about fitting in exercise, but I need to.
I try to walk instead of driving somewhere if it’s not too far.

My busy life doesn’t make staying fit easy.

I use the treadmill!
I use exercise DVDs every weekday and take the weekends off. it only takes 1/2 hour to an hour out of my day, and when I keep tabs on how many calories I eat per day, it keeps me alert and feeling good.

I take the stairs at work and go for walks on my breaks.
walk a lot
I try to walk to and from places via a far parking space. Every little bit counts!
I find my time to workout during tv hours. I have an elliptical in my living room and am not allowed to watch my favorite shows unless i’m on it!
The treadmill is my salvation.
My best answer to staying fit is setting my alarm a half hour earlier and watching (and participating in) an exercise program. Thanks for this chance.
