Oh good! Another beautiful wire jewelry book to review and give away to a lucky reader!
Denise Peck is the editor of Step by Step Wire Jewelry magazine, and she has written 101 Wire Earrings, Step-by-Step Projects and Techniques. The first part of the books covers the basics of wire, the tools, and all the techniques you’ll need to make all of the projects in the book. This section is excellent, with clear photos and well-written instructions.
The main part of the book is devoted to the projects. Each of the 101 earring designs has a photo, a list of all tools and materials you’ll need, plus step by step instructions. There are no process photos, which might make it a bit of a challenge for beginners, but most of the earrings are simple enough to figure out from the main photo.
This is not a book for really experienced wireworkers. There is not enough of a challenge for you unless you need to brush up on your basic skills. However, the variety of earrings included pretty much assures that everyone will find something they like! As we often say here, no book can be all things to all people. The projects are mostly inexpensive and require minimal tools, and that can be a real plus.

Would love to learn how to make wire earings.
I’ve only been making jewelry for about a year so I’ve got a lot to learn. I find it very relaxing and a great stress-breaker. Of course the fact that I love wearing pretty jewelry is another benefit of making my own! I would love to have a copy of the book.
I’ve just recently gotten back into making jewelry and so much has changed in the past 15 years! My daughters have started with small kits. I would appreciate & love to have a book of reference! Our local library does not have a wide variety! Thank You!

I am a starter with polymer clay beads. And my first fool action was to buy at eBay 50 pairs of silver hooks to make earrings!!!. By chance I have discovered your blog and hundreds of creative ideas are coming up. I feel dizzy. I need to be calm and translate my combining ideas -polymer clay beads and wirework- into amazing and beautiful earrings. (sorry for my English :).

I’ve recently learned beading and trying to learn more with making wire making, not only jewlery but findings also. This books looks like it will be more descriptive than others and looking forward to receiving it. I would love to be choosen for the free book but if not I’m sure it will make it into my collection
I’ve been ogling this book on other sites. It sounds awesome, especially since I just “graduated” from simpling stringing beads to experimenting with wire. I’d love to get my hands on a copy, bonus if it’s a free one!

I am putting together a birthday package of make your own earrings for my sister. I bought the sterling wire, a very cool fixture to cut the wire, form and shape the wire for the earring, and a hand cup burr to smooth the tip of the wire that first enteres into the ear. Your book would complete the gift. I didn’t know what was missing, until now.
I would love to have the book on wire earrings. I have done a little wire wrapping and bought a wig jig, but I have not spent much time at it. Maybe the book would inspire me to try again. Thanks
Oh, I love wire jewelry! And earrings are my favorite jewelry pieces, both to make and to wear!! So I would really love, love, LOVE to have this book!!!
